Avatar seguendo le voci della critica mondiale viene considerato uno dei migliori film di sempre e a conferma di tutto questo, ci sono gli incassi dal lancio del film che hanno superato il record denuto fino ad allora da Titanic, un film dello stesso James Cameron (creatore di Avatar).
Attualmente Avatar sembra inarrestabili ed i guadagni continuano a crescere superando i guadagni di Titanic per oltre 60 milioni di $ (in crescita).
